Why Mother's Day in March in the UK?

Why is the UK date of Mother's Day Different to the USA?

Mothering Sunday is always held on the fourth Sunday in Lent, which means it comes three weeks before Easter Sunday.  This day is also called Mothering Sunday.  However, Mother's Day is now celebrate around the world, with the majority of the countries outside the UK celebrate same date as USA.

Mother's Day Celebration are different in the UK compared to other other countries because the origins of the holiday are different.

Mothering Sunday has its roots in the Christian tradition of visiting one's 'mother' church, which is the church where one was baptized, on the fourth Sunday of Lent.   Over time, this day became a day for people to visit their mother and bring them gifts, such as Personalized Necklace, Earring, Bracelet, Ring, flowers and cakes.

In contrast, Mother's Day in the United Sates and other countries is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, and has its origins in a campaign by Anna Jarvis to honor her own mother and all mothers.  This  day was intended to be a celebration of motherhood and a time to honor and appreciate the sacrifices and hard work that mothers do.

Overall, while the concept of honoring and celebrating mothers is universal, the specific tradition and customs associated with Mothers Day can vary depending on the country and culture.
